It started around a table.
MIVA started the way most good things do, around a table, with family. Three generations, one idea: that the clothes you reach for every day should be the ones you never have to think about.
Not the loud piece you wear once. Not the trend that dates in a season. The staple. The one that sits at the front of the wardrobe because it works, every time.
We built MIVA in Fremantle because this is home. It is a place with salt in the air and no patience for pretence, and that shaped what we make. Streetwear and activewear designed for real days: the school run, the gym, the job site, the coffee before any of it starts.
Simplicity is the point
A wardrobe should not be complicated. Fewer pieces, better made, worn more often. Clean lines, considered fits, colours that go with everything you already own.
Quality you can feel
We obsess over the details you notice on the hundredth wear, not the first. The weight of the fabric, the finish on a seam, the way a hem sits after it has been washed a dozen times.
Class without noise
There is a quiet confidence in clothing that does not have to announce itself. That is the line we design to.
A family business
Three generations are involved in MIVA, and that is not a marketing line. It is how decisions actually get made: fabric choices, fits, what makes the drop and what does not. Our name is on it. So is our family's.
Every drop is limited. Every piece is made to be worn, not saved for good.
We started in Western Australia and we are building outward, not by chasing volume, but by making pieces people genuinely come back for. Thanks for being part of the beginning.
